Mango Chutney

Ingredients
- 3 Large raw mangoes (or 6 small)
- 1/2 Tsp chili powder
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 4 cardomom
- 1/4 Tsp salt
- 1 Tsp brown sugar
- 1 Tsp coconut oil
- 1 Tsp black sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice (or vinegar)
- 1/2 Tsp turmeric or curicumin or few stands of saffron (optional)
Note
Adjust the chili to suit your taste. Eat mango chutney with anything you want to add some zip to !
Directions
Peel and chop mangoes into chunks. Crush cardamom. | |
Cook mango with 1 cup water and lemon or vinegar. Add cinnamon, crushed cardamom, sugar, chili and cook for an hour on slow heat till mango is nicely cooked. If using a pressure cooker, remove after 1st whistle | |
Heat coconut oil. Add sesame seeds and let it cook a minute. Add to mango mixture, cook 1 minute and take off the fire |
