Airfryer Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken or chicken thigh without skin
  • 2 -3 Onions chopped
  • 3 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste or ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste or garlic diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 6-10 curry leaves
  • 1 &1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1&1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1& 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 cup basil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Mix 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp curry and 1/2 tsp salt and rub over raw chicken

  2. Air fry raw chicken at 360 for 10 minutes flipping over after 5 minutes

  3. Heat butter, add chopped onion, tomato, ginger garlic paste and sauté about 5 - 7 minutes till oil floats on top

  4. Add 1 tsp chili, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp curry powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric, paprika to onion tomato mix and cook another 5 - 7 minutes

  5. Use an immersion blender or counter top blender to roughly puree onion tomato mix

  6. Add salt, chicken and cook uncovered for about 15- 20 minutes minutes till chicken is cooked

  7. Simmer the cooked chicken on low heat and add cream, garam masala, fresh herbs and cook for a minute or two before taking it off the fire
