It just may be that a cup of tea a day can keep the doctor away. With the new findings by Dr Oz that apple juice contains Arsenic… apples may just be losing their charm. Well according to FDA …not enough Arsenic to be dangerous, but anyway…Lets talk about Tea.
Protects against cancer – The poly phenols which are the antioxidants found in tea could be responsible for this.
Longevity and Youthfulness – Oh yes, ask the people in Okinawa (Island in Japan where people live the longest) what their staple drink is … Green tea!! Would not mind that with having to keep up with my ‘ever’ energetic kids.
Other health benefits -include lowering cholesterol, lowering Blood Pressure, helping with Arthritis, Allergies and acting as a mild but safe sedative. I use ‘Sleepy time Tea’ with Valerian and Chamomile to help me nod off into sleepy land.

Tea from loose leaves have more antioxidants than bags.
White tea which is becoming popular appears to have more cancer fighting power than Black and green.

I so wish I was a tea drinker – it smells and sounds so heavenly – a wonderful way to end a hectic day. Especially something citrusy or with cinnamon. Unfortunately I was raised in the land of iced tea and can't get my brain wrapped around drinking tea without ice! Thanks so much for joining the Tuesday Train!
