Rehydrate Yourself With Homemade Bioactive Water

Rehydrate Yourself With Homemade Bioactive Water

Bioactive water deeply penetrates and hydrates your cells. It is 150 % times more absorb-able & usable  by the body than regular water, helping to prevent dehydration and effectively rehydrate the body.

I haven’t blogged in a really long time.  It’s been a crazy summer and sometimes I need a trigger to “kick-start” my  blog. And yesterday I got just that. A friend of ours accidentally closed his eyes behind the wheel and had a small accident. It could have been worse but  thankfully, it was ok. I got a little anxious coz it reminded me of the time I blanked out behind the wheel for one split second when both my kids were in the car, many years ago. It was a time in my life when I was battling insomnia and generally doing too much.  Anyway, ever since then, I am freakish about people driving without hydration. It’s why I send my oldest child to work every morning with a protein shake and a prayer. It’s why I always make sure hubby has nuts, fruit and plenty of water in a cooler, every time he takes a long ride. As for myself, you will never see me step into the car without a long cup with a straw, containing some form of liquid – even water. If I feel even a teeny bit of fatigue I take a few sips of liquid and it helps. Driving while dehydrated can be as dangerous as driving drunk! And no, you didn’t hear this from me. Researchers in the journal “Physiology and Behavior” conducted a study where people who were mildly dehydrated before a driving test made 54% more errors than when they were hydrated.  The same increase in errors made by drunk drivers.  They found that even mild dehydration impairs concentration, reaction time and attention, similar to alcohol in the system. The brain is more challenged during dehydration which leads to faster cognitive loss. Staying hydrated all through the day especially when driving would be a smart move and could reduce the risk. Forgive my long rant but this is a topic I am passionate about having experienced it in my life.

So this is where bioactive water can come in. It helps to rehydrate and replenish the body by permeating the cells and helping them soak up water. A little goes a long way. One glass of bioactive water would re-hydrate you more than 3 glasses of regular water.  Now bioactive water, if you should choose to purchase it, can be a little expensive. But there are ways of getting or making bioactive water with nature and stuff you may have around your kitchen.

Ways to get bioactive water
Plant based foods like watermelon ( esp the rind ) cucumber, other melons, celery are naturally rich in bioactive water
Coconut water has a high content.
Aloe vera juice ( even one or two ounces) is highly bioactive and can be mixed with water.
The raw aloe vera leaf can be skinned and the gel mixed with water to give you an all natural aloe vera bioactive water
Adding lime, lemon, cucumber, basil, mint, rosemary, fruit, veggies changes the surface tension of water so it can better penetrate cells and hydrate. Try these natural vitamin waters for a more fancy drink
Adding alkaline drops to water makes it bioactive and more easily absorbed by the body

Remember, unless you’re dangerously dehydrated, it often goes undetected. You should not wait till you feel thirsty to drink. By then dehydration has already set in. Drink through the day to prevent dehydration. Drink at least half your body weight in ounces everyday or drink bioactive water, so even a little goes a long way. When your body is properly hydrated you will be more alert, have more energy, higher cognitive brain function and be able to live a productive life. Try it! Drink bio active water and transform your life. Thanks for stopping by and remember to hydrate before getting behind the wheel! Have a great week :)!
